Residence Council
Durham College Residence provides students with the opportunity to become leaders among their peers through the Residence Council. Committed to ensuring a successful Residence Life Program, Residence Council members, as volunteers, contribute to the community through ongoing programming and active participation.
Each floor has designated Representatives elected by the Residence population. Residence Council, in collaboration with Residence Life Staff, organizes programs based on the needs and wants of students in Residence. It also provides a platform for students to voice their concerns in an open and welcoming environment.
Welcome Crew
If Residence Council isn’t your preference, consider joining the Welcome Crew. This group assists Residence staff with move-in activities over the move-in weekend. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet new people and participate in events.
Resident Advisors (RA) Events
Resident Advisors organize engaging events weekly for residents. These events can range from running games and activities to exciting off-campus trips to explore what the GTA has to offer. Have any ideas? The Residence welcomes input from the community on any new events you’d like to see take place.
